Aloha 'Oe

This WAS my camera that I've had for three years now. A Canon PowerShot A85.  It happened so unexpectedly.  I guess I should have seen the warning signs: The discoloration, the lines.  I just figured it was too young to go so soon.  We did have fun together.  Ah... the good ol' days when I didn't know how to turn the flash off and everything was over exposed.  Now it's gone and we have to wait for the currency to get another. So I warn my fellow bloggers that my posts will be less than par and it may be a while till I have my own personal pictures up again.
Aloha 'Oe camera!

Question:  How long is a digital point and shoot supposed to last?

I don't know much about how long cameras last, but for me cameras usually last about three years, I think you got good use out of it! I watched your Twilight clip, I myself LOVE the books, I am Obsessed! I can't wait for number 4! I think the movie looks really cool but I am still dissapointed in the choice for Edward, I just don't think the actor is good-looking enough...I guess we'll see in December, I can't wait!

I have to agree with Ashley, three years sounds right especially with kids and the beach. My PowerShot died similar way yours did. I have a better camera now, but it's a little too big to bring them every where. I'm getting lazy on taking pic. Maybe, I'll take some photography class again from fall.
By the way, Jared just finished reading Eclipse last night and was reading first chapter of Breaking Dawn this morning. Jared has been always a reader. He loves to read, so I didn't have to motivate him to read. He liked the books, but he was frustrated with Bella especially when he was reading "Eclipse". I heard him mumbling"Stupid Bella" quite often. We both had to agree we like Edward. Who do you like?

my digicam lasted 4 years then died suddenly on Easter morning of age-related causes. i still have him sitting on my desk hoping it's just a coma.

so sad! I hate it when the good things die, especially a camera!

I had that exact same camera and we only had it for about 3years as well, sadly our died by Kali dropping it a couple of times, however, I think it was going south on its own.

If we get two years out of our digital point and shoots I am stoked, three year is great. keep with canon, I love canon.

I don't know how long they should last but I had a kodak camera for 3 years and it was refurbished from ebay and just this year the screen went weird and now there's a spot in the middle. but the pictures come out fine, the spot is just on the screen. I like kodak. I got another kodak camera. I want one that will help me look like a professional photographer! Are you going to get a new one?>

well it's exciting to get a new camera though! three years...seems like a good amount to me unless your kids got ahold of it, that might take the life a little shorter!
